We are excited to announce the launch of our GROW Fellowship at Panorama Farm in Las Marias, Puerto Rico. We are seeking 6-10 fellows to join us in various roles including farm operations, tour facilitation, marketing, partnership development, and one project manager to support the Fellowship.

What is the GROW fellowship?
It's a farm operations program at Panorama Farm that offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about sustainable agriculture and social impact.
This fellowship immerses participants in the day-to-day operations of the farm, providing hands-on experience in various aspects of farming, such as crop cultivation, soil management, and farm maintenance.
In addition to learning practical skills, fellows also engage in activities focused on social impact, such as community outreach, educational programs, and supporting local food initiatives.
Through this program, participants not only gain valuable knowledge in farm operations but also contribute to building a more sustainable and resilient community.
Tasks & Responsabilities
Farm Operations:
- Clean-up and Fertilizers.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the farm premises.
- Removing debris, weeding, and ensuring the farm areas are tidy and presentable to visitors.
- Application and management of fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth. This may include preparing and mixing fertilizers, applying them to specific areas, and monitoring their effectiveness.
Tour facilitation:
- Help with conducting farm tours for visitors. This will involve providing information about the farm, its practices, and the products available.
- Ensure a positive visitor experience by answering questions and addressing any concerns.
Marketing and Partnership Development:
- Contribute to the farm's marketing efforts by assisting in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns. This may involve social media management, content creation, and assisting in the development of marketing materials such as brochures or flyers.
- Participate in forging partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Assist in researching potential partners, attending meetings, and helping to establish mutually beneficial collaborations.
Compensation and perks
Friends of Puerto Rico will provide:
- $800 stipend for every 30 days
- Shared housing on our coffee farm
- Assistance with booking flights from the continental USA
- Access to our delicious Arabica coffee, Ama Love
- External cultural immersion experiences
- On-the-job training
The Fellow will support the projects at Panorama Farm that include meaningful lodging and service, coordination with the volunteers and the educational program and its initiative of youth entrepreneurship program: SEEDS. This includes training and empowering beginning entrepreneurs to initiate their own enterprises in an effort to address the urgent need to create new jobs and increase economic development in the region. They will also serve as instructors and staff with the development of our educational programs.

- Our fellowship is an excellent opportunity to grow and impact communities in a specified term
- You will be an integral part in this endeavor and work closely with our President, Angelique Sina, to focus on sustainability and self-sufficiency for Puerto Rico
- This role will require for you to live in Las Marias or in the northwest of Puerto Rico

Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Available to work 20-30 hours a week
- Comfortable working in a rural setting and hybrid work environment
- Fluent in English and/or Spanish
First GROW fellowship dates:
- May 28, - June 28, 2024 - 30 days minimum
- July 2, 2024-August 2, 2024- 30 days minimum
